I took my rifle in to Boatright Guns to have it inspected. To correct the poor workmanship done at Indian Arms the stock was rebedded, muzzle recrowned, Muzzle Break was opened up,bullet was contacting on exit), and the muzzle break was epoxied onto the barrel, threads cut with too much tolerance and became loose after 10 rounds). Also found that the headspace was oversized by .0085 . Did not have anything done to correct the headspace as after the first firing I will have a 6mmBR Wilkerson Improved. I don't think I will be using that terminology. As of this time I have found a load that shoots 1/2 inch at 100yds. 32.5 gr Varget w/75 gr V-Max. The group did not tighten up until I moved the bullet from touching to .020 into the lands. Actual Jam length is a additional .010 . After the Prairie Dogs ruin this barrel I will have Boatright rebarrel it correctly. Chock this up to another lesson learned. For those of you that are scratching your heads over this post, it is a follow up on a earlier post of mine, "Accuracy Problems".
