Accuracy international hand load test day

Recently took delivery on AI AXMC in 300 WM. I've been shooting various over the counter loads getting used to the gun while my 300 dies arrived.
Today had a range test day shooting my reloads: hornady 178g eld pushed by re22 at 72.5 and 73 gr, col 3.340 as per the lyman manual ( not done a jam fit yet). I've never reloaded 300 WM before and heard all sorts of talk about the issues when doing so. But my loads provided a 1/2", or just under depending on measurement shooting 4 rounds. Very happy with the gun thus far. AI says it's a military 1 MOA gun.....seems it's at least that or better

Great shooting Captain!! I had a .300 WM years ago. Very easy to load for and very, very accurate. Your getting close to a great load. Carry on.:D:D

Paul
Thanks. While the gun was shooting well enough out of the box I wasn't getting the groups I'm used to with my 6.5 creed or .308 Rem 700. After about 100 rounds, getting more used to the trigger, and reloading a few rounds the groups are getting much tighter. While I know the gun is not a bench rest gun, it's still nice to see tight groups. Of course the 100 yard is a starting point. My club range has 200. 400, 600 and 1000 yard ranges and I intend to visit all of them

I second the H1000 but depending on throat spec....77gr is too stiff. Back it off some! In a Saami chamber that’s around 71k psi.

Oh yeah I forgot that mines an A191 throat and I'm loading to CIP length magazines. I just kind of assumed the AI chamber would also be A191-esque because of the magazines the rifle takes.

All of the AI’s with good barrels shoot better than 1moa! It’s an old military spec is my guess. :)

I’m not exactly sure what spec reamer they are using.

I like the A191 reamer spec myself.

Different gun/caliber and also more recoil to get use too.

I shot my 300PRC again today with the new 230gr ATIPS. Forgot it had a little more kick even though the gun is just under 22#. I’ve been shooting 6BRA, 6.5cm and a .223 gun for the last few months.

Things a hammer though and the bullets traveling at 2900fps out of the gun!

AI tells me the chamber is saami spec, not a191.
