Academy had pistols in the display case!

I was surprised to see a SW 9mm Shield in the case along with a Glock .22 and Ruger MKIII. The SW was $329.00 and I was tempted but......Anyhoo that's all they had which is more than other times. Of course handgun ammo shelves looked like old Soviet grocery store shelves.

They also had 1000 CCI LPP, $3.99 a 100 and some Win LPP for standard or magnum loads. I've never seen pistol primers that said standard or magnum on the same box but I guess they make them I've just never seen that before.

My academy has had a case full this whole time. I guess the folks that have ammo already have the pistol. The ones that want the pistols cant get ammo.

Mine that are local have 2 or 3 handguns each.. very low stock.

Was at my local Academy last week in the morning and they had a separate line just as u walk in and had a shelf with 9 mm ammo. Three box limit. Sold out in minutes.

I was at the local Rural King yesterday, and the display case has several handguns in the cases, mostly semi's but saw 3 Ruger Wranglers. NO ammo except for shotgun shells. I didn't ask if they had those on display in stock, or what they had FS was in the case.

Local pawn shop has their showcases almost full of pistols.
Ammo is another story.

My area is a part of Oregon that believes in the right to own firearms in spite of the state Oregon doing it's best to stop that. The local gun shops are full of most pistols/rifles, ammo is hit or miss. However most of the people on the east side of the state live in rural areas and plan ahead because it's 50 miles or more from town to town and firearm supplies are just part of going into town like everything else.
