Joe Chacon shot a 200 today in the Unlimited class at San Angelo – that just doesn’t happen folks.
Not in 22 rimfire at our Range, until today at least. It was never done in ARA; there have been 250’s in IR 50/50; but not with 25 X’s!
This is one of Joe’s rifles with a Douglas barrel on it and he said it shoots better and better – better believe it looking at that score.

Darek Biggs is still our only Junior shooter and he is a great guy to shoot with. He had an agg today of 179.500 – keep it up Darek!
Joe Chacon did take 1st place in the Senior Unlimited with an agg of 197.250 and he had the high 2n & 3rd targets with a 200 & a 196
Lisa Chacon took 2nd place with an agg of 195.000 and had the high 1st & 4th targets with a 198 (tiebreaker with Joe) and a 197
Mike Kirkpatrick was 3rd with a 193 agg
Ron Herring took 1st place in the Senior Factory class with a 182.250 agg and had the high 1st, 2nd & 3rd targets of 182;187;185
Jim Swaringin was 2nd with an agg of 180.500
John Pormann was 3rd with an agg of 176
David Russell suffered some firearm issues on the 2nd target but came back to take the high 4th target with a 178 breaking a tie with Jim Swaringin
My rifle went wacky on me the last target and the wind didn’t help.
It was a great day to be at the Range with some great friends and competitors.
This concludes our 2016 season with all of us looking forward to the Texas State Match at Boerne on Nov. 12
