AA2520 in .308 pet loads???

Anyone else use AA2520 to reload for thier .308?? If so, I'd love to hear what your pet loads are.

What bullet weight are you using? This will better help us narrow the field alittle.

Right now I'm using 150 gr. But, at this point just trying to figure what the gun likes to eat.

With the150 hornadys I start around 41.0 grains and I actually settled at 43.2 grains. I was shooting an o3-a3 with the soft points and open sights I was able to shoot under an inch with 10 rounds.That gun shot for a battle rifle.The load also worked in my remmy VS 308 as well with sub half inch groups. You can go up to 46.5 but I would do that with extreme caution and go up a couple tenths at a time.

Depends if you are shooting a Service rifle or a bolt gun. On my M1-A, I prefer 41.5 gr of H4895 with 168's SMK. When using the Speer 125TNT', I prefer 44gr of varget. this load I use at 200 and 300 yrds. On my bolt gun with a 1-12 twist, I used 43.5 gr of Varget with the 175's SMKs. This was a MAX Load, you need to start out low and work up in .5 gr increaments. This load was used at 600 and 1000yrds in long range prone. AA2520 meters very well, however we found it to be temperture sensitive. When we shot in very hot weather the load also got hotter. Larry
