A trick for 6br shooters -- 100rd Ammo Box Lift Blocks

I posted this once before but I was sitting here working on one of my boxes and I thought I might repost for those that missed it the first time.

I like to use these hundred round boxes that are made for 308 length cases. But the six BR cases are too short so you cannot grab them out of the case because there's not enough of the neck or the base sticking up to grab.

So I came up with this idea where I use these craft blocks that I buy off of Amazon to add to the bottom to act as a filler. I just found a supplier that sells 500 of them for $14. They are half inch craft blocks. I use CA glue and glue each one to the bottom of the box. And that makes them the perfect height for 6 BR.

I use close cell foam. I never throw the scrap i have left over when i constructed my rest & rifle cases.

Nothing really wrong with those. I like 100. Each batch of brass gets its own box.

The problem with them is you have to lift the rounds out by the bullet. That leaves fingerprints on them and that decreases the BC quite a bit.

I made mine with a hole punch. This is one place where a slightly oversized round spacer will go in a square whole and there is no need for the glue.

This is what I use. No need to cut or glue. Right size to hold themselves in place. Just push them into the holes of the box

The blocks are certainly lighter than if it was 243, or 308 for that matter. In fact, they weigh almost nothing.

The MTM are 6 bucks on Amazon. Those are $17. I'm sure they are fine, however.

I like how the MTM stack also.
