a stupid 6mm question...

I am looking at some of these carts; the 6 br, 6ppc, and the 6 dasher. what is their primary diffs? I am sure they all start with a very similar size case, heck from the pics I've seen, it looks like they all start with some type of russian 220. And isn't the russian 220 the same as the 762x39?

Ranger,

When I started looking into 6mm choices I considered the 3 you mentioned and others,,243, 6mm rem). I quickly settled on factory chamberings to eliminate the need to size, fire form etc. The case making may or may not be tedious, but I didn't see a big difference in performance for my purposes,I like target shooting but I'm not a bench rest shooter) and didn't need the extra work. Long story short - the 6mmBR is a standard factory cartridge, is very easy to load for, is very accurate, is available stock from multiple sources, is chambered by most, all?) barrel makers. I am very happy with my choice. Low recoil, 30 gr powder per load,vs 40 to 60) many barrel options, good brass,Lapua), good accuracy, under 1" at 300 yds). Hope tis helps. Hanic.
