A soundtrack for your life

I know of a few other serious audiophiles in here, but I also know that music can be what makes our day go by whether its FM radio, Spotify on your phone, or that crusty old cassette thats won't eject from the farm truck.

What do you have spinning currently?

We all like music. What do you play in the truck? The shop? Reloading room? Might just discover something new, or show someone else something they've never heard before.

Myself, I have a couple nice-ish headphone amps and in-ear monitors for work or bedtime, but my main system is a pure class A, 2.0 loud speaker system and vinyl media. Currently spinning Yardbirds 10" 33rpm.

Well this is a loaded discussion, I just had to replace my turntable, I picked up a Fluence, yes it was $500 but it's a good piece and I have well over 1,500 LP's, out side of that mostly I play CD's. I run a 200 watt Sony and a set of Polk Audio speakers.

An eclectic selection, one day it's Bach, the next Billy Strings, Vide Cor Meummor some other assorted opera or Stevey Ray Vaughn. Roxie Music, Procal Harem, the Moody Blues, Patti Smith Band, Ray Charles or Billie Holiday. I don't want to leave out the Dead Kennedy's or the Fore Skins.

Something's always playing!

Little bit of variety, old school country, southern rock even some of the new guys like Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers, Whiskey Myers,Cody Johnson...keep earbuds in the reloading room and listen to whatever strikes me that day
I enjoy a mix of country and bluegrass along these lines.

Evergrey (Swedish progressive) "The Atlantic" on Oracle Delphi mkII w/ Sumiko Sapphire mm through Krell KAV300I integrated. A pair of Wilson "Wattpuppies" left over from when I ran Krell monoblocks.

th
I listen to a lot of instrumentals from this guy......There are many that I could list as " The Sound Track For My Life"......

Regards
Rick
Yeah, he could play! Saw him take off and improvise (no vocals) for 20 minutes back in 1976.

Red, White & Booze from SXM Radio or Chris Stapleton Channel from Pandora.
Both I stream from my phone into my hearing aids.
I can no longer enjoy music from any source I cannot stream into the aids.
ALWAYS PROTECT YOUR HEARING!!!!!!!!!

I’m a mix of everything from classic country, classic rock, bluegrass especially the more progressive side, early heavy metal and even some Latin jazz. I have pretty nice home system mostly Pass Labs and vintage McIntosh tube gear.

There are times when I get this itch for some fusion jazz. Just
a little Chic Corea, and Stanly Clark, with a little Jean Luc Ponty
thrown in and finished off by some Billy Cobham.

Some good stuff listed! My record collection really covers all genres. Classical, jazz, blues, country and western, world, rap, hip hop, classic rock, British rock (not the Beatles!), psychedelic rock, pop, and nearly every decade from 1930s to current.

Pass labs Aleph 30 amp, 1968 Pioneer SX1500TD running as preamp, EPI 100V speakers. TT is by Monolith running an AT120EN stylus fitted to an AT100 cart.

Finished my night listening to Fugees.

Lol, yeah "pretty nice" is an understatement. 1 of 10 sets of custom built tube amps by Wayne and Nelson...

It sounds alright... ;)
