I know of a few other serious audiophiles in here, but I also know that music can be what makes our day go by whether its FM radio, Spotify on your phone, or that crusty old cassette thats won't eject from the farm truck.

What do you have spinning currently?

We all like music. What do you play in the truck? The shop? Reloading room? Might just discover something new, or show someone else something they've never heard before.

Myself, I have a couple nice-ish headphone amps and in-ear monitors for work or bedtime, but my main system is a pure class A, 2.0 loud speaker system and vinyl media. Currently spinning Yardbirds 10" 33rpm.

New guy I've been listening to lately is Billy Strings.-- either electric or acoustical.

Guy is a savant. Magical guitar skills, might be the bastard child of Jerry Garcia, or one of them guys. Punch him up on Youtube for a quick try. jd

Classic FM in the car. - no adverts. You tube music in the loading room. Today - Sting and Bowie on the main rig.

"If it ain't Baroque don't fix it".... whilst calming out.

Jeff Beck for some guitar virtuosity. Do like the little JBL speaker one of the youngins gave me,along with setting up spotify. Oldest son is a vinyl collector.

I try to find stations that play anything but the same A sides that every station has continued to play for the last fifty years…. Country or rock, I’m flexible. And wish that in the mornings they’d just shut their mouths and play the music.

I go to YouTube to actually find new music- it’s actually amazing how much there is compared to the standard multi hour tape that stations play. jds holler, you are right on Billy Strings, that dude can play…

Found Oliver Anthony a couple weeks ago. Eight days after he dropped Rich Men North of Richmond. A song that hits the nail on the head.

I usually ask Alexa to play some Molly Hatchet or the Outlaws when I get set to go to work in the reloading den.Its always a good mix of the stuff I grew up on,brings me back. When I’m driving it’s usually the heavier stuff from Iron Maiden and bands like Metallica,Judas Priest and so on.I really like Blue grass when I can find it too.

I like a variety of music. A few years ago I discovered these videos of kids covering rock songs

When reloading I like something a little more chill

I love music. I still love going to live shows.

In my reloading room I have a Cambridge Audio music streamer connected to a Cambridge Audio two channel amp that powers two sets of Paradigm Floorstanders. I also still use a CD player connected to this system for when the mood hits me for a little more critical listening.

In the office I usually use a set of wireless ear buds or over the ear headphones. On the fishing boat I have a decent JBL wireless speaker I use. Maybe next year I'll actually install a sound system. I've only been saying that for ten years now.

I listen to music all day for the most part. I wake up with a different song in my head most days.

Little bit of variety, old school country, southern rock even some of the new guys like Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers, Whiskey Myers,Cody Johnson...keep earbuds in the reloading room and listen to whatever strikes me that day

Classic country, oldies rock and roll 50's to early '60's (pre-beatles) , including do-wop. James Gang and Doors is as wild as my tastes go- reminds me of my rowdy years. My family owned a hotel and early on the only music I was exposed to was from the jukebox and at home American Bandstand on TV.

I listen to SiriusXM in the vehicles, in the cave I listen to a local FM country station that plays more music than chit chat and commercials right now. I can stream Sirius all around the house if desired, sometimes it's just a hassle with logging in, etc. at times.

With the advent of You Tube, I can scrounge a lot of re-mastered
full albums. Had "Head East" playing the other day backed up with
some early "Gary Wright" and "Spooky Tooth". May dig up some
Santana today. Somewhere in my junk closet, I have this lone eight
track tape of Spencer Davis. Maybe give it to the grand kids for a
museum piece.

th
I listen to a lot of instrumentals from this guy......There are many that I could list as " The Sound Track For My Life"......

Regards
Rick

Bluesville is always on in the truck. I use Pandora on my phone while sitting on back porch. It plays a lot of Govt Mule or Joe Bonamassa. I’ve been listening to a lot of Larkin Poe on YouTube why in the house.

Howdy!

Back during the Vietnam War, I tired of the constant radio & tv news about the war and the protests, so right in the middle of puberty..... I tuned out. For years and years.

Once the war had abated, I got back to listening to the radio. Oh boy ! I discovered the joys of -60's music....in the -70's !!

Had just started a great Civil Service job, and spent a whole bunch of $$$$ on music, audio equip, guns; and cars. Got myself all caught up!

These days....the -60's and early -70's stuff that perfectly spanned my teen years; is still my go-to music.

I have a machine that can record vinyl to CDs, along w/ albums; and 45s. I also buy used CDs of the greatest hits and music collections grouped by year.

With regards,

Fun question.

1. Sounds Tracks from the Good, The, and The Ugly and the "Dollars" movies. :) - never ever gets old. I listen to this every time I go hogging - gets me in the mood. ;);)

2. The Rolling Stones "Hot Rocks" - the absolute best in my ice age world. - great music to have a few "three fingers" Maker's Mark with.

3. The Animals - recalls my misspent youth when I thought I was invincible..

Rap gives me acid reflux.:mad::mad:
