A shoutout to Steven Flood - Chamber Chiller

Turbulent Turtle

F-TR competitor
On the final day of TSRA MR, as I was putting my rifle back in its case, the nozzle portion of my Chamber Chiller broke off from the unit. Thankfully we were done with the competition, but I was a little miffed. I really like the Chamber Chiller and it does a great job cooling my barrel, especially in hot South Texas conditions. That day wasn't so bad since the wind was 35-50MPH and it wasn't very warm.

A couple days later, I went to the Chamber Chiller website and filled out the contact me form with my information. A few hours later I got an email back from Steven Flood, offering a free replacement. I replied back with the specs of my rifle and such and the next morning, I got an email back saying he was sending me a new model that would fit my rifle.

Yesterday afternoon, I got a package in the mail from Steven Flood of Red River Reloading fame, which contained a replacement chamber chiller unit for my broken unit. Steven had said the unit had evolved some since I got my first one. It has a somewhat different configuration but you can see the evolution and this new unit is very nice. I have the USB model for which I had bought a small yet powerful Anker power unit that I keep attached to the chiller. I pull out the USB cord from the power unit when I store the chiller in my shooting bag. Nothing worse than finding out you drained the power when the switch got pushed on by accident in your bag, 2 week prior.

So, a shoutout to Steven Flood and Chamber Chillers for outstanding customer service as well as a superb product, now "endorsed" by the Turtle.

Steven told me that he has some new models coming out shortly with even more powerful cooling capabilities. I will be visiting his website to check on that.

Chamber Chillers

This is a level of customer service that would be the envy of any corporation.

Thank you, Steven Flood.

I had the same issue with mine; the nozzle broke off from forgetting to remove it when bagging the rifle...my bad. I sawed off the proximal end of the nozzle square and found a tygon tubing that fit the ID of the nozzle closely as well as the ID of the brass case for my chambering. I cut off the head of the case and epoxied the tubing in the case and the chiller nozzle and now have a tight fitting adapter with a built in strain relief. I know Chamber Chiller would have replaced it pronto but I needed it for a very hot match that weekend and no time to spare. The fix works so well I will not replace it.

I have been using Chamber Chillers for quite some time. They are a phenomenal product and Steven Flood is the best.

I have better luck with this one.

Been using one for two seasons now and very satisfied with it , and the customer service from Steve . My first unit was in service for about three weeks , and the red wire broke from it's connection . I called Steve and explained the issue . His answer ? I send ya one out in the morning . It arrived in about five days , snail mail . After receiving the new one , I took the broken one apart , repaired it , and loan it those in need during the summer months . Good product . Great customer service .....And my "Loaner" has gotten him a few more sales .
