Right now I do not have a bench at the house, there is a car at the body shop thats sitting on the ground, no tires, wheels, just sitting on the ground.. it is actually quite compfortable shooting from the top of it on sandbags.. I get a really steady rest, on 32X I can really tell I'm steady..
the problem? I have a 22-250 that I've been trying to get shooting well, after bedding it improved, but it's still not right, I shot several groups, and they were ranging barely under 1". its a model 12bvss savage, 32x burris, been bedded and such. I shot, and decided that maybe I'm moving and don't realize it, So i got out my 17hmr and shot a 5 shot group under 0.400, about usual.
After I'm having fits, my dad noticed the drop grip on my 22-250 was touching the top of the car a tad bit, he said that could be what is throwing my groups off, I know i'm dead still but if there is some wait resting on the bottom of the pistol style grip could that cause the group to be blown?????????
I'm getting a shooting rest/bench soon... i need it
