Steyr M, one of my favorite rifles.Scored some 123 gr A-Max projectiles and 49 gr of N560 pushing them plus a wee bit extra space in the case worked well as a starting point for me. Getting ready to use these on deer in the fall
Shooter, I’m on the lookout for a Model M in 6.5 Swede with the green or black synthetic stock There’s one out there somewhere…Steyr M, one of my favorite rifles.

amazing that Sweden used an 8 (approx) twist bullet for the 1896 mauser. I think of 8 twist as being fast, and 'new' I guess, but it was used a long time ago for this round.Yessir, thank you
I remember recently someone somewhere expressed doubts that the 1:8 barrel on this rifle would stabilize the heavier 156 gr bullets. Here’s where a box of “19” old match rounds landed on the target when run through the “M”. 4 rounds at top were initial shots. I adjusted the optic and fired the rest.
