A New Way to Cool Your Barrel - BarrelCool

www.barrelcool.com

Have you thought about how you can cool your barrel at the range, while varmint hunting or on the firing line? Or how to minimize the time waiting for the barrel to cool? There are plenty of ways to do it, but most are not doing anything today. How about if there was a barrel cooling device that also doubles as your chamber flag?

Then give BarrelCool a try! Users are reporting reduced times to cool their barrel, and since it doubles as your chamber flag, you can now use the time between cease fires or strings of fire to cool your barrel. You will be surprised what kind of airflow you will get and how fast it actually cools your barrel.

Using (3) CR123A batteries (included with BarrelCool), you should expect around 7-10 hours of battery life.

Some have mentioned using RCR123A (16340) rechargeable batteries with capacity ratings of 600mAH+ to run in BarrelCool as well. This is a good alternative route to running disposable batteries. However, charging batteries will be more frequent.

You can go to www.barrelcool.com to order. $34.99 (batteries included). Works in most bolt action rifles, all AR platforms, and both left and right ejection ports. Simply cut the tube to fit your action/chambering and BarrelCool will accommodate anything from a .223 parent case cartridge all the way up to 338. Patent Pending and Made in the USA.

Hmmm...not too concerned with cooling my barrels at the range, but that would be awesome for my varmint rifles while shooting hundreds of rounds at gophers on a hot day.

Can you order the straws separately so I can cut them for all my chamberings and use one device?

Used mine for the first time last weekend. 25 rnds in 20 min, scorching hot. After the next relay, about 20 min, was only slightly warm to touch. This is an excellent product, and all the guys had to try mine. Had to hunt pretty hard to find it when it was time to head home!

We are sponsoring a shooting stage at the Lone Survivor Foundation match, Oct 14-16. We hope to see you there!

We are also planning to be at the F-Class Nationals to support the F-Class community. With faster relays and less time in between strings at this year's competition, it might be beneficial to get a little more help cooling your barrels ;)

As a sidenote, I want to congratulate Junaid Ali for his stellar performance, taking 3 gold medals at his most recent country's national match, all while using BarrelCool :D

"Let me take sometime and post my review on relatively a new gadget BARRELCOOL....I participated in 4 events ranging from 300 yds to 1000 yds and won 3 out of them...firing magnum calibers in .284 and 30 cal in 96F were very heavy on the barrels...This barrel cool was a blessing wch was significantly dissipating heat off the barrels...The shrilling sexy sound of its propeller not only throws away heat but attracts audience as well....A must have item in the setup" - Junaid Ali

I bought one, and I can't tell how well it performs -- It stopped working after the first minute of use. Next the cover to the battery compartment fell off and would not stay on.
In my opinion it is poorly made and it a total waste of money.

I have been using one since it first appeared on Accurate Shooter. Most of the Long Range shooters at our club have one.
They work well.
