A need to order my first custom reamer....

I had a Rebore "Specialist" Take my CZ223remingron 527 carbine & open the barrel to .257 Diameter to shoot 70grain Lyman cast bullets. Well this did not work out. HE Decided to put a super long "neck"/throat in the chamber. Total fail w cast bullets. Anyway I want a competent gunsmith "My Guy" to remove this barrel. Cut & remove say 150thou. setback & rechamber this rebored barrel. What besides a dummy cartridge & the actual bullet do I need to provide to a Reamer Maker. So I can get this thing to have a fighting chance to shoot reduced velocity cast bullet reloads. Thanks in advance, MikeinCT

I think I followed this OK. You might look at a 25-45 Sharps Reamer and see
how it compares

I'd be closer if the "Rebore Specialist" used that tool to "Neck" my barrel. the roughly 200thou neck on a [25/45 Sharps reamer] is twice or better than "FreeBore" required w/ that pee wee 70grain cast bullet. By my crude Measurment's The .257 driving band is about .075 , couple that to the brass neck shortening/on reforming to expansion of .257 . I need to get this closer / shorter than normal.

You need to talk to the gunsmith that is going to use the reamer.

Make a dummy round write on it in a sharpie how much jump you prefer that worked well for me

It's YOU that controls what goes into YOUR CUSTOM reamer. Dummy round, built with your components, bullet seated to the depth YOU want. You must have an idea what works best for your cast bullets seated where YOU want them????
Sounds like your "chamber mod" didn't work out so you're starting from scratch.
Go slow, do more digging till you find what you like. Good luck with your search.

`Might be a good idea to double check the bore and groove diameters and provide this info to your reamer manufacturer
