A Must Read for the Big Game Hunter

If you want to read a book that will stir your blood get a copy of "Man-Eaters of Kumaon" by Jim Corbett available at Amazon. It contains stories (true) of tracking and shooting man-eater tigers in the Indian Himalayas.

Warning: you may not be able to put the book down and your wife may find you sleeping with your high powered rifle at your bedside. :(

Sounds like the book, man-eaters of tsavo. Movie made called ghost and the darkness. Man Eating lions were the subject and storyline. Sounds alot like that movie. The science museum in Chicago has both lions that killed the people in those villages mounted in a glass case. Very good book and movie.

Do they have both now? One used to be in Nairobi. Also true. Creepiest rail bridge I've ever crossed that's for sure!

It's been 16+ years since I've seen the exhibit in the museum so I could be wrong BUT there were two lionesses in a glass case that was on display.

Well, you're more recent so most likely correct.

Spooky stuff indeed. Kinda stories where hunting with a Browning .50 might be a good idea...

Ya really. It really shows where we rate on the food chain in certain regions. We all take for granted here in the good old USA, we reign #1 in that spot. Sure big bears, mountain cats and wolves certainly cause hairs to stand up on our necks on occasion but over in South America and other locals, we definitely are alot further down on the chain.
