Looks like you had a great time Doc. And I love the rifle! Being from the south myself, it's pretty darn awesome. Also looks like a nice relaxing place to spend a Monday shooting. Was raining here all day so I didn't get to go out and do anything...just worked in the shop putting together a new pistol!

Best to you sir and can't wait to see how the new Dasher shoots!

You are indeed a fortunate man Doc. We still have the white stuff covering the grass out here and I am getting itchy to shoot. A lot of the guys are already going to the range, but I personally do not like to shoot in the snowy weather and COLD. Takes the fun out of shooting. Hunting is a different story. It really makes it difficult sitting here with a new DASHER and no shooting. I have 100 rounds loaded and ready to fire-form, but I'll just have to keep them dry for a little longer. As the old saying goes here in Montana, "we have winter and the 4th of July". Not quite that bad but they do get long sometimes.
Good luck with your new DASHER; they are truly fun to shoot!

Doc,
Beautiful rifle and beautiful day, thank you for sharing :) It is 6:00 a.m here and snowing sidways, I have three 6brx rifles to get ready for a match this weekend and 15+ mph winds and HEAVILY snowing :o ??? O well it will be a good day here also, The worst day of shooting beats the best day of working ;)

Or the other saying I grew up with in Montana was "our seasons are winter and road construction season" :)

Yea, but I think they just put up the signs. I don't think they actually did repair anything. I remember back in the early 60's a friend and I decided to do a road trip to Spokane from Glasgow across hwy 2. Yikes, that trip is etched in my mind and kidneys. The roughest road I think I have ever driven on. Of course now, it's like a super highway (relative to Montana road conditions). :)

REALLY, I love this place!!

Road construction NEVER stops on Highway 2. And extremely boring drive cuz it's straight as an arrow after you're out of the eastern front of the Rockies. Only roads that bored me more were in Nebraska. Now that place is FLAT! The Cornhusker highways sit higher than anything else around you. I swear the rock beds built to support pavement are the only hills in that state :)

Sounds like old man winter is givin the Montana mountains one last lickin before spring finally arrives. We've been pretty fortunate in Sidney. Been around 70-80 degrees fro the past 2 weeks. Monday and today are a little colder, but still sunny and about 62 degrees. Supposed to warm back up again towards the end of the week. I'm keepin my fingers crossed that the frigid mountain storms dump their payload there and have nothing left when they get to us. But you know that in Montana you're not really safe until June, and I've actually seen it snow a few times in June too as I'm sure you have as well. So far so good in Sidney though. Hopefully we ride right into summer with sunny weather :)

Hi Doc....what a nice range...(is that a refrigerator....!!!????..hahaha) I shu am gona stop by when Im in your neck of the woods.....enjoy every minit of every day ....Roger
