a matter of scale

I have read Bryan Litz's books, and the math is a bit beyond me. From his article on scaling bullets up, using the 142 SMK as a baseline, A similar bullet in 7mm would be 177 grains. Now that the 195 Grain Hunter is all the rage right now, what would the 6.5mm equivalent now be? and can an estimated BC be calculated.

The scale factor in question would be 195/177 = 1.102

A 142 grain 6.5 bullet would scale to 1.102 x 142 = 156.5 grains.

If it were stable, a first order estimate of the G1 BC would be 1.102 X 0.595 = 0.656

There are complicating details, and things are seldom so neat in reality.

Guess you hit it on the head, no one is debating your answer! I believe Cauterucio makes a 155 gr 6.5, I may have to give them a try
