A little Quickload help

I have my new Dasher tube up and running...30 inch 1-12 twist. I have two different loads for it, but since there isn't a pile of data out there on slow twist/fast burn/light bullet Dashers I figured I would ask here about estimated PSI with someone with Quickload.

Load one. 35 grains H 335 (took it up to 37.5 with zero PSI signals) behind a 65 grain V-MAX and CCI 450's. Found a node at 35 and 36.5...went with the lesser. .... 3601 FPS

Load two. 38 Grains H 335 (took it up to 40 grains where I got slight shiny ejector marks) behind 58 grain V-MAX and CCI 450's.. 4010 FPS.

I did all of the load development before I did any chrono work.....I simply loaded 4 of each and shot them in my basement with my M3.

Thanks,
Tod

To get reasonably accurate results you should provide the following information:
Loaded cartridge length
Case length
Maximum case capacity in grains of water
Ambient air temperature when firing shots

Load 1 (65 V-Max) OAL 2.168
Load 2 (58 VMAX) OAL 2.145

It was about 80 degrees.

I have no H20 Data....Can anyone out there give me a rough number on H20 capacity for a 6mm Dasher without me having to get all "scientific"?

I guess knowing the PSI isn't that important at this stage as I am at least 2 full grains below my max test. BUT...I've see what seemed to be "OK" loads be grossly over PSI and just not show signs. I'm guessing that the 65 Vmax is ok at 3600, but the 58 grainer at 4010 makes me wonder!!

Thanks,
Tod

I had to manipulate the case capacity input to match your velocity data.

65 gn. VMax 2.168 COAL
H335 @ 80 deg. F
35.0 gns. = 3601 fps @ 51479 psi
36.5 gns. = 3730 fps @ 58634 psi
37.5 gns. = 3814 fps @ 63957 psi

58 gn. VMax 2.145 COAL
H335 @ 80 deg. F
38 gns. = 4010 fps @ 65999 psi
40 gns. = 4188 fps @ 79276 psi

I got similar results that'll is why I post my load . Not a load I would start with . Larry

My starting loads were considerably south of where I ended up. 33 grains with the 65 grainer and 34 with the 58 grainer.

My guess is that the avarger 1kBR shooter shooting the 105 class bullets with RL15 or Varget at around 3050 are also up around that 65K mark.

But, that is only a guess....based on the fact that there is no way I can increase my loads another 2 grains on any of my 1k Dasher comp loads on ANY of my BBLS.

FWIW, Load From A Disk, another software program, shows the 58 gn. Hornady with 38.3 gns. of H335 giving 4069 fps @ 57987 (CUP).

H335 is not listed with the 65 gn. VMax load.

Depends on jumped or Jamed
My load of 4350 is 3070 62000 psi jumped
With no prime pocket problems.
Change to jammed bullet and the pockets are junk with 3 or4 fireing Larry
