It was a great day. The first gun show in nearly three months here in Nampa.
And, a pistol I had only seen on the Beretta website was for sale there. Some of you may know Beretta celebrated 30 years of the various 92FS iterations being used by the US Armed Services by offering a limited edition of the pistol in a fancy engraved and inlaid finish in a walnut case with a glass lid. I never saw one in person until this morning. A good friend of 40+ years had one nestled between a couple dozen S&W's in its case. NIB, unfired, in the case, with all the tools.
So, I am just drooling, and Chris tells me he is in it reasonable, and would sell it to me for $650. I explain I am a 100% disabled veteran, and broke until July 1st. Our families attend the same church, for many years, and he offered, on the assurance I would buy it then; to hold it for me.
Ummmmmmmm, YES!! He has a big tupperware container full of used leather gear. He says, "you're left handed aren't you?". Yes, and he rummages thru the box and hands me a left hand GALCO holster for it. In exchange, I agreed to watch his tables so he could cruise the show.
It has been a perfect day. And, as a finale, the John Wick movies are on back to back.
I am a lucky man.
