A friend asked me a question

He has a 16” .308 ar10 barrel and was wondering what powder would be best to get a complete burn 100%
not sure if a ball powder would be best or Varget etc. thanx

What bullet weight is he going to use?
Obviously a faster powder would be best for that goal.

I shot enough 308’s in a 14-15” pistol to tell ya don’t worry about it.
FYI my rifles load, was the same for my pistol.
Shoot what is accurate, look at Sierras accuracy load and your golden.

Several,,H4895, IMR 3031, N135 and N140, Accurate 2460 with the 168's. Not getting full burnout isn't the kiss of death. The standard IMR 4064 and Varget both work.
