A few Melonite questions

I'm trying to catch up on the latest in Melonite Nitrocarburizing treatment options. Research today doesn't seem to get me past dead links and older discussion.

I'd like to have a batch of stuff treated with a couple BAT actions, a low shot count barrel which is externally teflon/epoxy coated, a barreled Cooper action(it's barrel Brownell epoxy coated), and possibly a S&W Schofield.
I see there are various levels of treatment; Q,QP,QPQ, and I take it i'll need to come up with a good plan here.
-Like I wonder if I'll need to remove the Cooper barrel from it's action?
-Would I get QP treatment for barrels, with QPQ treatment for bolts?
Stuff like that..
-Who is providing the service really well for shooters?
-Do they have a website?
Thanks

They did my 308 Krieger barrel. I called them and asked a lot of questions after I read what MMI tru tec did. They do barrels for a couple different manufactures including Ruger, till Ruger installed their own shop. I have another barrel and action I am goint to take there after I fire some rounds down the tube to smooth it out. When I had my 308 barrel done I dropped it off and picked it up the next morning. They run around the clock. Give them a call and ask them for your self.

Yeah, Butch Lambert probably has the most experience. Also Adam Bentley has done a few. Let us know what you find and do use.

I spoke with Danny from CTT. this morning, they do all of McMillans parts and Dillons and POF's parts. He is a shooter himself, just call and he will answer all of your questions, and even the ones concerning Q QP and QPQ.

Thanks for response folks.

At the risk of exposing my ignorance- What is Q, QP and QPQ ??
I believe QPQ stands for Quench-Polish-Quench, and that the process is selected for different components.
From another thread and Burlington Engineering:

Melonite Processing: Melonite Q
Improved Wear Resistance
Improved Running Properties
Increased Fatigue and Rolling Fatigue Strengths
Heat Resistance
Black Color

Melonite Processing: Melonite QP
lncludes the properties of Melonite Q
Lower coefficient of Friction
Decreased surface roughness

Melonite Processing: Melonite QPQ
lncludes the properties of Melonite Q and QP
Low Light Reflection
Further Decreased Coefficient of Friction
Enhanced Corrosion Resistance (Not suitable for stainless)

QP sounds ideal for the barrel

FYI, you can't shoot coated bullets through treated barrels. Also they aren't immortal after treatment. Ask my 20PPC barrel.
