Every once in a while something happens a the range that isn't just funny then, it causes you to "have a giggle moment" at later times.
Here goes----
About a week or so I was at the range. It was COLD! Extra clothes and "chemical" handwarmer's cold. I was set up and banging away on a load development project when one of the more well known local BR Shooters showed up. Being an "Septuagenarian" he didn't do well with the cold so he went back to his truck and brought back his heater that's mounted on top of a propane tank.
He set the heater on the bench next to me and started to light it. He was intent on lighting the unit, holding down the pilot safety plunger and stuck a match. I was intent on the next shot and had no idea what he was doing at the time. I fired and then heard a loud shout. Turned and looked. There was my friend standing there with his hands to his chest and a totally frightened look on his face. When my shot went off he had at that exact moment put the lit match to the heater element. He was just SURE that he'd blown his @$$ up.
Took both of us the next 20 minutes to let his heart rate go back to normal and for both of us to stop laughing.
BTW, he "Claims" his BVD's survived without a mark. Not sure mine would have
