A&D FX120 scale wont calibrate

I have an A&D FX120 scale which weighs nice and accurate but wont calibrate. When I hit the calibrate button it beeps but nothing else. When checking the 20gm and 50gm weights, it has started to drift slightly. Any tips on what I might be doing wrong?

press and hold the CAL key. it should change to CAL OUT when key is released it should change to CAL 0 press PRINT key to calabrate for 0 then add what ever weight the next number it shows and press print key. should say END when your done

Yep, that what the instructions said. Pity it doesn't work.

I can press calibrate as many times and for as long as I like and all it does is beep, nothing else changes.
