Awhile back there was an alert to avoid doing business with a forum member. To late for me as I had already sent a money order. One of our members "284WINNER" took it upon himself to gather some info from me and send it to the proper authorities. Well I received my un cashed money order in the mail today! I could hardly believe my eyes. For some to take it upon themselves to help someone they don't know, shows a lot of character.So THANK-YOU 284WINNER! I am in debt to you sir.

That's great I am glad all came out well for you! Now if 284winner would post the video of him beating this guy about the head and neck we could all know that justice has been served. I tried selling stuff on this site twice once I gave some thing away and got a bad felling in every time. NOT ANY MORE!

Hey guys, no thanks necessary as most of you would have done the same with the same resources I had. Dave Sweet who I believe is a forum member (do not know his user name) was the other guy helping out in this situation in recovering stolen funds. Hopefully someone can find his forum name and thank him for his time. Thanks again for the good words.

You know the bad part about this experience is that it has alot of guys very skeptical to buy items from new forum members. Bravosector1 is selling a Nightforce SHV scope in the classifieds and he made a statement in his post that he has already had bad reviews just from being a new member selling an item in the classifieds. Saying people issuing warnings of his sale. This unfortunate incident that occurred in July with members being taken by an unlawful member for goods not received has really caused issues. Bad part is, it's hard to blame anyone to act any different when very new member comes along and lists an item with no credentials or good feedback. Remember however, the member that was caught in the act of theft, had many good reviews by many good people on this forum that did stand up for him. This experience isn't going to have me second guessing people on this forum until I have the same gut feeling I had with the last guy. Then, I'll deal with I accordingly. Until then, all you guys are the same as I am. Shooters, Hunter's and Outdoorsman that share the same love of the game.

Bought a Nightforce Scope from a fellow with zero trade history. Other than a little slow sending it , no problems. Scope works perfectly. Haven't seen him here since. Would I do it again? Probably. Life is too short at this point to worry about money. dedogs
