9mm ammo help interarms

I have come across 250 rounds of interarms 9mm ball ammo packed in 100 per box (4 -25 round boxed inside) that has the following head stamp

11 on one side and 49 the other side with * between

the primers are sealed with black paint and the case mouth is sealed also around the bullet

I have heard this may be Canadian Mil, but don't know.

the 49 seems to indicate 1949 mfg and if that is so, the question --CORROSIVE PRIMERS?

ANY advice on this, would be greatly helpful.

Bob

49 i would assume a corrosive primer..usa mil did not switch till middle 50's

My advice, if you think it could be corrosive, then treat it as such. Shoot it and thoroughly clean the whole gun ASAP.

Good shooting!
