95 TMK in the Dasher

Hi guys,

Have any of you spent much time with this combo?

I've started some preliminary load development using IMR 4895, Varget and 8208

4895 pierced primers before velocity really got going.

8208 gave me the most consistent and best velocity but accuracy wasn't very good.

Varget gave good accuracy but not quite the velocity of 8208.

Ran at 3085 on the chronograph about 12 feet out from muzzle.

Anyone have any advice on seating depth/powder combos??

I may end up sticking with 105 Bergers but this TMK is mean looking.

I have an 8 twist 6br that I worked on that combination with for several months. Went through the same powders you did and nothing worked for the 95gr Berger or the 95 TMK. Using IMR4320 or IMR4064 was the best accuracy that I got. Switched to Precision Ballistics 95gr BT with the 6/9 ogive with the same powders (4320 and 4064) and excellent accuracy all the way to 400yds. YMMV.

Won the first match I shot after switching to the PB 95gr bt and 4320.WD

I was shooting some 95 TMKs HBN coated last winter. 28" 9.5 twist - 35 gr varget
. CCI 450s = 3190 Federal 205MARs = 3207 This barrel had a tuner/break on it and it shot OK. Ended up using 34.7 gr of Varget. 17 clicks @ 300 yds so it definitely shoots flat but was not as consistent in the wind as I had hoped.
