90 grain Berger / Hollow pointed

I got this guy around 200 yds using a Berger 90 grain boat tail Target bullet that the hollow point had been opened up. I tested the bullets at 100 yds and they shot very nice small, one hole groups. They did an outstanding job on this GH. At 200 yards. The bullet blew the back side of the GH up to say the least. Massive devastation. Now I need to test at 300 yards and beyond if I can find a volunteer.

I have a bunch of the 90 gr. I did try some of the 88 grains earlier in my reloading days. I never got them to shoot as good as these 90. When I put a dent in the 90's I may go back and try again with the 88,s. It's not that I think I am a master reloader to have got the results out of the 90,s . I think it is the theory a bling squirrel finds a nut ever now and then.

From a different perspective, I've shot quite a few coyotes with Berger 22 cal 80 VLD & 6mm 105 VLD's that I pointed with excellent results.

The 88s will pass through and are prone to ricochet. I have stopped using them.
Thanks for the info. The 90 hollow pointed did come out the back but it created a crater. Plus it was only 200 yds. You could definitely here the wallop when it impacted the GH. I will probably just keep using the 90's. I only need a handful of hollow pointed ones to GH hunt. I have got the 80 grain Nosler Ballistic tip to shoot pretty good. I may give them a chance.

In my 1-7.5 Twist, 6 XC, I'm using, the Very Accurate, 95 grain, Classic Hunter, Bergers for, Sage Rats to Yotes !
Yup,.. 90 - 95 grainers in the fast, 6 MM's for Me, too !
They were NOT as "Explosive" as the 87 V-Maxes BUT,.. way, WAY, Better for, "repeatable", Accuracy !
PS; Me, No skin 'em,.. Coyotes ! ( Like 'em, BIG Holes,.. on, Yotes )
@ Bullet 05,.. I'd STAY with those, 90's, as "Sweet Accuracy" and do NOT,.. look back !
