What velocities are you able to get with a 90 gr Lapua Scenar in a 6 BR?

The VihtaVouri reloading guide says 3,123 fps with 33.9 gr of N540 for the 90 gr Scenar in a 6 BR.

If you post a velocity, please specify the powder and charge and whether it is a 6 BR, AI or other variant. All would be of interest.

Dasher 90 Scenars 35.8 gr Varget CCI 450 primers 10 shot average = 3371 fps. This was in 40 degree weather early spring of this year. velocity confirmed by ballistics @ 200 & 300 yds. HBN coated bullets

How do they perform at that velocity compared to say a 105gr pill?

I am getting 3225 f/s with 90 BT Berger's in my new 28" barrel Savage. load CC! BR-4, 32.0 gr. Varget. The Berger's should be close to the Lapua's 90 gr.

Your info is very helpful.

I asked about the Scenar as it was the only 90 gr 6mm bullet that I was aware of. I have been using 6.5mm cartridges and am just learning about the selection of 6mm bullets. There seems to be a considerable amount of fine bullets in 6mm!

Asked about the Scenar because the bullet I am intending to use is 90 gr but it is certainly not mainstream and it is unlikely that anyone would have data for it. I wanted to see if 3,000 fps + was a realistic expectation for a 90 gr bullet in a straight BR. It seems that it is.
