9/16", .30 cal brake that can be profiled?

Rebarrel job for a customer, he's asked me to add a brake- preferably profiled to the barrel.
It's .30 cal, and I've got roughly .660 where the shoulder will be- so I wanted to go 9/16".

This would leave only .050 wall thickness at the brake threads if I turned down a .750 brake.
I don't think this would be acceptable, without even getting into what would remain of the body of the brake and whether it would be substantial enough to take the blast pressures.

I've (reluctantly) used 1/2" brakes for .30 cal before but don't like doing it- might be the only option?
Suggestions?

I don't think it will be an issue. I have used both options on 30 calibers (1/2x32 or 9/16x 32) . I even made a 7/16x40 tpi brake for a 30 caliber with a .550 muzzle and it worked out fine. WH

I think one factor to consider is the larger diameter of the brake increases effectiveness(so i heard).

Look at muzzle brakes and more
Yep I just bought 5
He’s got the tables and limits of what you can thread and turn down to. I have one I just did that I was unable to turn down fully but it was only .025 larger so I just beveled the end against the barrel
Looks good

Thanks, gentlemen- but I'm not talking about porting geometry and design.
Just the structural integrity.
I've seen a cheap chinese brake that was blown apart- not by a bullet strike, but due to flimsy thin construction that couldn't withstand the blast pressures.

I've used APA Micro Bastards on skinny .30 cal barrels like Tikkas before- but they clearly state that the .750 diameter cannot be turned down.

Muzzle Brakes and More is indicating I can turn their 1/2"-28 "Mini Beast" down flush with barrels .670 and up, I've got .660 so pretty close.

Their Baby Beast brakes cannot be turned down.

I'll give him a call, thanks.
