870 ejector???

My daughter sent her 870 to get me to fix it. The extractor was so dry I thought it was only needing oil. When that failed to fix the problem I watched a video a young man made and he was explaining that you need to be careful when seating the barrel, cause if you are to rough you can break the ejector. Then i remember her husband telling me when he shot it last the barrel was so loose that he had to tighten the nut. Does anybody know where to get one or are the unobtanium? if it needs to go to a smith to get the part and he wants to fix it that's OK too. Thanks Mark

The ejector is no fun to replace and the right tools are pretty much a must AFAIK.
Extractor is another story...simple and easy to replace.

I have replaced many ejector and spring sets.
The tools are brownells part number 080-612-001MB
Now finding replacement. Is the ejector broken or the spring? Sometimes you get lucky and can carefully remove the spring and re-buck the rivet

I am sure i can ruin 2 or 3 and half dozen of the rivets and eventually get it right. But i think this needs a person that knows how and has the tools. Any ideas?

I have sent an Email to Remington firearms to see if it can be sent in for service. i am curious to see what kind of response I get I will keep you posted. Thanks all for your replies
