$850 scope

I have the opportunity to buy a Steiner SG3 which list for $850 for $400. It sounds like a no brainier except I don't want to have a scope that isn't as good as the ones listed above. I have $850 but if the Steiner compares closely with the ones above, it's the logical thing to do. Right? Anybody have experience with one?

Different section, same answer. You get what you pay for. I have bought thousands of dollars worth of scopes that were good deals. None of them are on my rifles. I usually end up giving them away as a "bonus" when I sell a rifle.

There probably isn't anything wrong with the scopes you have listed. I personally believe that the Nightforce will serve you best and will hold its resale value the longest. Most scopes are worth less than 50% of list after you buy them, not Nightforce.
