80 vld's with a 6.5 twist?

Anyone shooting 80's with a 6.5 twist in .223? 30" 5r
Any issues with it being to fast?
I suspect no but would appreciate any info before I decide on freebore.

Shouldn't have any problems. I shoot them from a 1-7" twist Broughton 5C

I hate to even post this, as its a Pet peeve when someone posts something that is not relevant to the OP. I am shooting 77'sand80's out of 6.5 twist 223. Except its a 20" Service Rifle... Not even close to 30" tube so this is not really relevant other than there is a good chance you will be fine. Shoots the 80's darn good with no issues.

I've shot plenty with 7tw's but have no idea whats too fast for 80s.

Recognizing the peril of throwing this thread into left field, where did you get the 6.5 twist and how long did it take?

Bartlein.
They quoted 6 months, it came in 3.
I originally bought it for 90s but the pp life is killing me. I'm tapping out of exclusively 90s, I need to learn the wind better anyway.
