80 grain 6 mm Fowlers

Anyone shooting these from the new manufacturer.....time to buy bullets for 12 twist 6 BRX and no more 80 grain Berger target bullets.

Maybe better yet.......would love some ideas as to which bullet I need for my 12 twist 6BRX.
Shooting in Groundhog match and just neglected my bullet inventory. Range is 100, 300 and 500. Have a good option a friend uses so open for what you use.
Building new 8 twist complete gun so no need or time to re-barrel.

i shoot 80 gr fowlers in my 6 BRX 8 twist and a 6x47 lapua 12 twist and they are GREAT! they are truly custom bullets and less expensive than bergers which have been my favorites. variation in weight and , more importantly, base to bearing surface (ogive), is precise! ronnie cheek (cheek's custom bullets) makes a 68 gr flat base that outshoots the 68 berger in my 6 BRX. precision ballistics is another custom bullet maker with flat base and btail of many different weights, again very precise in their measurements.

Yep!
Ordered 500 80 grn. bullets from Scheider. He even said if I didn't like them I could send them back for a full refund. I shot them right beside original Fowler 80 grainers. Every bit as good!

srhall32,

Berger makes a 80gr match grade varmint bullet, the same as the old one, shoots the same. But I would say the new Folwer/Scheider would be fine
