80 berger in the 6br

They work well for me. What is your barrel length and weight? I think loads are highly sensitive to the barrel dimensions.

I use Varget and BR4's. Shoots well in both 12 twist and 8 twist. Start at 30 gr and work up. Very accurate (I have shot a 0.09 inch group - may have been a fluke but lot's in the teens). Nice mild load and very accurate at 3080-3120. You might find a higher node depending on barrel (one of mine likes 3200+). Jam to small jump seems to work for me but will vary with your neck tension and chamber/barrel dimensions etc.

32.0 grains of Varget, BR-4, and 0.010" jam have produced the best groups with this bullet out of my 26" barrel Savage, at 3110 fps.

Don't know about anybody else, but I use N133 for bullet weights of 70 gr. & less in the 6BR's and 6ppc's. N135 heavier than 70 to 85, then it's Varget for everything over 85 gr. Works for me!

I generally use Benchmark (ADI BM2) in 70 gr and below and varget (ADI 2208) for 80+ Frank so similar really (sometimes varget in 70's as well). Availability of powders over here the biggest issue in straying from the ADI /Hodgdon line.

For me, Varget has produced better groups not only for the 80 grain but also the 68 and 69 grain bullets I have tried, compared to H322. H322 is very close but slightly slower than Benchmark, and of course a fair bit faster than Varget. But, then perhaps I just feel better seeing cases full to the neck!
