8-40x20 screw

Anyone know where I can find a couple?
Broke off the set screw in my neck turner handle re bored to 8-40x20 now I can't find a set screw.

That sounds almost exactly like why i always check what screws exist before i re-tap a hole!!

I get them for scope bases from Brownells, but I don't know how long "20" is.

Numrich carries the dummy screws for Remington action scope rail mounts.

they have a slotted head and aren't real good. Frankly, if you can, you'd be better off boring out and rethreading 10-32.

I used a tap for scope base from Brownells, it is marked 8-40x20. The screw needs to be about 1/2" long so I'll order the ones from Brownell that are 3/4" and hope for the best.
Hint if using the K&M turner and the shell holder is slipping DO NOT TIGHTEN very hard that soft aluminum set screw will snap, take the extra minute and chuck it up in your drill.

I was wasting time at ACE hdwe store the other day, and they had a box of "gun screws" in the mix/display. Most ACE stores have those displays with the pull out displays with a decent selection of specialty stuff.

I know but it is long enough to tighten down and hold the hex end of the shell holder.
