7saum to 6.5 saum

I recently picked up a new rifle from my smith. I couldn’t find any gap brass so I’m resizing 7saum to 6.5saum. Is there any special I should know? Rem saum brass seems like kind of a different animal.

Neck turn and s bushing down to size. I could only find 300 Norma SAUM brass so I had several steps. Turn off 3 thousands then step down a few bushings. I ended with 0.290 bushing. Have fun.

What made you decide to turn the necks before necking down? I'm faced with doing the same, as I'm set up to turn 30 and 7mm necks, but mot 6.5.

If you get some bertram brass 7 saum and neck it down, guys have been running it in gap chambers with no turning at all

I've got lots of 300 and 7 saum cases squirrelled away, so will run that for now.
Where can I get the Bertram cases?
