Pro & con as a 1000 yds BR cal. Is this cal. Used a lot in IBS 1000 yds BR matches? Thanks in advance for your reply.

It is not used a lot. One of the best light guns at Williamsport the last two years is a 7 SAUM. Matt

That is for F class, not 1000yd BR

There is a big difference between 1000 yard BR and F-class. In IBS you need to be able to shoot 5 shots in the low 3 inch range to win on most days. In the 10 shot groups it needs to fall in the 5 inch class on good days. Score and group both count but group takes precedence. Group wins even if you won both. If you don't win the relay you don't get to shoot the shootoff. I have saw a few that were competitive and is a better choice then other 7 mm choices. It seems to be more consist and that is what is needed in 1000 yard BR. Most times it is easy to get a gun to shoot in the 6 to 7 inch range and the smaller from there gets harder. The 5 shot groups are usually a lot easier then the 10 shot ones. On good condition days it is hard beating the Dashers but on days with more conditions I feel the bigger bullets hold a slight edge especially on the scoring. Matt
