So I have a semi-custom 7mm WSM built on a savage WSM short action, Krieger 5.5 fluted barrel cut with new PTG reamer in a Bell and Carlson medalist tactical stock. Ive been working up loads for it and on the second round of 50 ive had some that chamber hard. Im using a redding bushing die set. the neck die i have set to bump the shoulder back .002" on the win brand brass. some of the cases chambered good others didnt. so i sent them through the body die and loaded them up. went to the range the other day and a couple still chambered hard. I got messing around today with it, checked the dies all is well. so I took one and ran a few through the body die, chambered hard then turned the case 180* and ran it in the die and it chambers great now. what is going on? is it just the win brass? ive had some slight issues with it in a few factory encore pistol barrels in the past and different brass brands remedied the problem. whats your ideas, better brass and neck up/down accordingly?
