7mm SAUM from Norma 300 SAUM brass

In the 7mm Cartridge Guide it says: "With Norma SAUM brass, there’s not much you need to do but neck the cases down to 7mm from 30 caliber." Sounds straightforward, but...How do you determine the proper bushing size to obtain the neck size reduction? Doesn't the neck get thicker with the sizing? Do you ream the necks to establish a given neck tension? Seems like there would be almost equal work to do, and expense. whether I buy Remington brass and cull and sort, or buy Norma and do the neck sizing.

There is nothing wrong with using Rem brass. Use more than one step to size down 300 SAUM Norma brass and neck turn according to your barrel neck. Redding bushings are under sized about .002. You will need to end up about .001 larger inside the neck than the neck turning pilot. When I measured the neck thickness before and after sizing they were the same. Makes you wonder where the brass went, probably in the shoulder.

I have used both in my 7mm saum and now I will only use norma. It is just so so much better.I size it down in one go and neck turn it.
