7mm saum chamber

Im not sure, does savage build a bigger action for the 7mm and 30 saum, what im wondering is can i chamber these calibers in standard actions. I heard that the factory calibers use an oversized recoil lug so i thought that the actions may have a little bigger o.d.

built the following on sav 110 actions with no problems. 6.5saum, 338-300ultra 300wsm, 7rum .300rum. by all means use a heavy recoil lug and have at it good luck.loader

Hi im sorry i dont have a savage but i believe you have chosen the best short magnum made the 7mm SAUM is a perfectly designed case with great long range energy shooting flat and verry accurate. go with a 9 twist and you can shoot any factory 7mm bullet i have one they are justy awsome.

I don't have a Savage either but the 7mm saum Reminton 700 I do have will shoot super for a factory rifle. 140 BT's under 1/2 inch at 100 yards, whats not to like.....
It started to shoot really good again at 61.0 but I have no real need for speed....
