7mm rem mag help???

Need a bullet and OAL to try. Anyone ever shoot RL-15??? If not hope to shoot RL-15. Been shooting 162 A-maxes. Hope to shoot something lighter with a good BC. Any suggestions. 9.5 tw. 30 inch barrel

Try some Nosler Accubonds in 140 or 160 grain. I have not tried any RL-15 in my 7 Mag's but IMHO it is probably too fast a burn rate.

4350 or 4831 have given me my most accurate 7MM Mag results in the bullet range you are talking about.
1 in 9 twist.

I have never tried RL15 in that case/bullet combo, nor would I consider it. Just too fast of a burn-rate for my expectations.

In the RL line for the 7mag & 162's. Look closely at RL22, works for me enough to have 15lbs/same lot dedicated to that rifle/barrel. Consider RL19 & 25 too.

The H4831/IMR4831 line is also a top shelf contender/producer for that combo. Others have had great sucess with H1000 & Retumbo, but not I.

I think you would be disapointed. Yes, you can make anything burn down the pipe, but will it be accurate, fast enough & Safe..? There may be a reason Alliant/ATK doesnt show any starting data for that powder/case/bullet combo.. Just my .02...

Rl-15 is way too fast for that combo.
I have had great results with Ramshot Magnum in my 7mmrem with 160 accubonds

Try IMR7828 1" groups at 200yds out of my Ruger 77 MKII with stock tube (for now), Floated and light trigg work 160 nosler accubonds. 64 gr start on the powder.
