7mm Hunting Bullets

UPDATE: Original header stated the post was a Complaint that Light Weight 7mm bullets are very hard to find... not that I don't know where to find hunting bullets. This post was moved to the Reloading forum from where originally posted - and the header/subject was change.

In the text body (See below) I stated that the lack of a particular range of bullet weights while heavy target bullets remain available reminded me of an old communism production "joke" i heard many years ago. I know where to find hunting bullets - thank to all who have provided insight and links.

What would REALLY help is if someone has a couple boxes of the 120 TTSX they would not mind selling me. That is what I need. Thanks!

Why is it I can always find the heavy grain target bullets for sale - everywhere, but the 120-150 general/hunting bullets are consistently out of stock? And for extended periods?

Reminds me of an old communist manufacturing plant story. Plant was ordered to make 10,000 bolts, so they did. Only problem was they were all the same size and thread - and not usable for the majority of the work needed.

Seems bullet making resources are not used at equitable levels and the ones who really want bullets are going without. Seems this could be worked a lot better than it is.

The Hunting bullets are more often being put into loaded ammo for the larger calibers.

Maybe the panic buyers have no use for heavy target bullets? They are certainly the last thing I would buy. Sounds like you're in the same mind set as most reloaders.

The heavy target bullets are hard to find also. It has been a long time since I could find Berger 180 hybrids.

Maybe not what you are looking for but There are/were a few in the classifieds. User: nastynatesfish had some and may have some that he has not listed yet.
Shooters pro shop may still have 140 partition blems.

Thanks for the offer - I have some 150 gameking and matchking - but have been searching everywhere for the 120 TTSX ... for quite a while - missed an add for some in here this am - OUCH! Reached out to Barnes last week and was told the 120 TTSX not on schedule until June 1 - That will be my go-to load for my 7mm08. I hope.

The bullet manufacturers make whatever bullets that vendors order. If the vendors don't order bullets in the range you are looking for, they don't get manufacturing priority.

There’s no bullet that will make up for bad shot placement, and for better shot placement I’m taking the target bullet.

I've actually been seeing heavier hunting bullets (7mm 175gr+) on the shelves locally.
Like the OP, i usually don't shoot that heavy, and to do so would require working up a load for them, using up precious powder & primers.
But the heavies i'e seen have been hunting bullets (partition, ballistic tip, accubond, gamekings ).
Aside from the discontinued Sierra 75gr HP Varmint bullet, i haven't seen a 25 caliber bullet in quite some time.

Interesting, they offer no bullets in 25 caliber that will stabilize in a standard 1:10 twist.
Granted not 7mm bullets.
