Since the Berger 7mm/.284 180 Grain Match Hybrid Target Bullet is so hard to find, what bullet is a good 2nd choice?

I shoot the 180 Sierra, but the 175 Sierra is also very good.

Lapua announced the release of new 180 gr. Scenar L bullets at SHOT Show. I don't think they are available yet, but I'm eagerly waiting to try them.

I'm looking forward to trying them. Our UK importer, Hannams Reloading Ltd gets new products as early as the US people, often earlier, and I'm only 30 minutes drive from their premises.
I'm using 180gn Sierra MKs in my 284 and impressed by them. They do need a bit of batching on base to ogive lengths - not nearly as bad as some SMKs were a few years back, but not as 'tight' as Bergers. Didn't the Bulletin report a while back that a lot of US F/O shooters used the Sierras in the US Nationals and FCWC at Raton last August?

I don't know Jay. I'm sure they are doing testing right now, but that's above my pay grade.
