7MM 08 Breaking in?

Just shoot and don't worry. ;D

It'll get just a little better with time. Clean it when your sposta,,

,,Ya know,, that's something too "learn" about your gun, some like a really clean barrel for that first shot, some like a fouled bore.

I've 223 that needs about 8-10 rounds before it settles in, a 708 that needs 3-5, an the 308 wants at least one fouler.

But the only way to know is to experiment,,hope you get some re-loads dialed in,,then you can find out,, ;)

Siiri,
Remember what I told you about your question on how to clean your gun?
I told you somthing like if fifty people answered you would have fifty different answers. This is another one of those questions. But here is my answer to your question. In my experience with savage barrels there generaly pretty rough and copper up pretty quickly, although they seem to shoot great despite the rough bores? anyway I like to give them the benifit of the doubt and I do a standard breakin with them, shoot one shot then completly clean,I will repeat this 10 or 15 shots If I don't see any improvement. What I mean by improvement it may take you 20 minutes to clean it the first few times but by shot # 10 the time to clean it should be less if it is I might go a little farther and then some 3 or 5 shot groups then clean. If I don't see any inprovement I do as necchi and bheadboy suguested and just shoot the darn thing :) as usual I hope this helped.
Wayne.
