785 or 760 ball powder in Win factory 270

Anyone happen to know what ball powder,760 or 785) that Winchester uses in its factory loads for the 270W ? The second question will be how do you know.

My BBR 270 likes Winchester factory loads, and I want to recreate the factory load as a starting point for further tweaking.

Yes, I see 785 has been discontinued. I still have 3/8 of a tub of 785 left from back when.

I used some old 785 and 760 loads on the weekend just to burn up some old ammo, and was surprised to find how well they did with Speer 130gr and Winchester PP 150gr bullets whereas Hornady Interbond 130 with ADI AR2213SC was all over the place. A lot of experimentation is needed to nail down the essential factors, but all the good loads, including factory loads) so far were with ball powder and with relatively blunt nosed bullet that eases gradually onto the rifling. It is possible the seating is such that there is less jump with the blunt bullets, and will check that out too. My theory is that the Interbonds have to be jammed to perform in my rifle.

I have picked up some new 760 and will experiment with it first.
