77 tipped matchkings

for those of you that have shot the 77 grain tipped matchkings (.224), have you had any issues at long range with unexplained fliers which could lead one to believe that the tips are coming off or melting off? thanks

I went through about 500 and never noticed any unexplained fliers. I didn't use any past 600 yards and even then it was mostly smacking steel and not printing groups on paper. So as long as it hit the steel it was good for me. FYI, I was only pushing them about 2750 fps.

A few wide shots at 600, but nothing I couldn't attribute to my failure to read the wind.

I use 2000MR in my 6.5x47 for great velocity and accuracy. Haven't tried it in my 223 because I have been happy with CFE223, which is also fast and accurate shooting 75-80.5 bullets. For some reason I seem to migrate to the odd "ball" powders.
