700 single shot bedding question

I have a new solid bottom 700 clone action with a new HS presicion stock. The stock has the wider holes for the action skrews. Are those that way for pillars to be installed?

The other question I have, is Should the recoil lugs touch or not touch the bottom of the stock?

And since this is a single shot . Could I use potters clay for the bottom of the action to mold itself into each other?

The recoil lug should only touch the back. The skrew holes look perfect- no pillars needed. What are you going to do about the gaping hole in the stock? Are you going to put a floorplate on it? Ideally youd fill it with your bedding epoxy and repaint the stock

If you're not going to fill it with epoxy and turn it into a single shot action... pack it with clay or playdough (thanks Al!) just remove the clay after you bed it.
