700 Remington 6 Dasher

I had a 700 Remington action laying around so I thought I would turn it into a fireforming gun for making 6 Dasher brass.
I had a 6BR barrel in the closet with a 8 twist so I figured I would run the reamer in myself just to see how hard it would be.I ended up running it in too far and the fired brass ended up with a very short neck.
I didn't want to give up on the project so I took the barrel and action to my gunsmith who charged me $80 to fix my screw-up.
Here is a target shot by my 76 year old father showing the first 6 shots fired out of the gun after the gunsmith fixed my goof.
I your a varmint hunter or target plinker this group is typical of a 6BR or 6 Dasher build on a 700 Remington action.
33.4 grains of Reloder 15 Lapua brass CCI 450 Magnum primer and a 103 Spencer bullet seated to 2.510 inches using a comparator.
He shot 1 shot onto the target to have a place to aim at then fired 5 shots that hit 1.5 inches higher up.The first 3 shots went into the same hole.

EDITOR's NOTE: The load listed above is for a 6mm Dasher, which has greater case capacity than a 6mmBR Norma. This 33.4gr load may be too high for some Dasher and 6BRX chamber/throat/barrel configurations. It is not unusual for Max loads to vary as much as 1.5 grains from gun to gun, even with the same chambering. After fire-forming your Dasher Brass, start at about 31.0 grains RL15 or Varget and work up.
