700 Rem. 280 Ackley Feeding Cure?

I have a 700 that was re-barreled and chambered in 280 AI, the gun shoots great but it doesn't feed reliably from the magazine so it's pretty much a single shot at this point. Any suggestions?

What did it used to be ?
Changing out the follower for one designed for the new case may help if it's a lot different than the original.....

Here's a link to how a gunsmith gets rifles to feed reliably. Mostly I'd look at your follower and the actions feed guides.

It was a 280 Remington, we put a new barrel on it and chambered it for the 280 AI. Thanks for the link msalm, looks like it's time to put together some dummy rounds and spend some time on it.

you might check to see that the box is fitted into the cut-out properly and the spring loaded ramp is correct, I have 4 of these and have no problems. Hope it helps. Ron Tilley
