What can I hunt with these?

Nothing! Sierra does not recomend the use of MatchKings for the hunting of live game. They are only intended for target shooting. This is because the bullets are constructed for maximum accuracy and not for reliable expansion. Sometimes they may expand and sometimes they may just zip through the animal!

Varmints. I use 69 gr Match Kings all the time in my 223 for groundhogs. I have never had one NOT EXPAND. They leave golf ball size exits.

Good deal. I read of using the bigger version on deer sized game. Obviously these might be a tad small. A max also.

For the last 10 years I've shot the 52gr SMK and 70gr SMK exclusively. Every animal hit falls over dead period. Predators, varmints etc, if I don't miss, are dead. You don't have to worry about skinning a fox hit with a 70gr SMK.

I have never used SMK's on anything but small game, but once used a 208gr A-Max on deer as I took the wrong ammo with me. Worked well, but the damage was a bit extensive. About a softball sized exit hole through the right front shoulder with a lot of meat destroyed.

Use bullets intended for hunting on large game. There is only gain to be had from doing so.

Shot them at coyotes for several years out of my 6AI (and an older 6mm Rem.) and it was one of the "better" 6mm fur bullets i used. This is the AI gun but different bullet and 300-something mange dog that was a "damage control hunt"--
